With the Arts we encourage and promote literature or literary arts (poetry, novels and short stories) virtual arts- painting, sculpture . With the performing arts we are very interested in Theatre and film- especially TV documentaries. We promote these through book launches of distinguished authors, speaking engagements with the authors or producers in Ghana, Nigeria, United States and elsewhere. We also do recommendation of good manuscripts to African and European publishers.
With Culture- we do work in Cultural Economy or the Creative Economy- the role of art work, handicrafts, the traditional textile industry in Ghana and their production and growth in the rural economy as well as transition to urban growth. We promote these through market research for individuals, associations and international development agencies; we expose the producers to both local and international markets and partners through seminars, workshops with other agencies and public launches of such products on our website.
Prizes- the programme also support s graduate studies at the University of Ghana, Legon and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology through the awards- The Joseph Agyeman-Duah Prize and The Peggy Appiah Prize respectively. It supports research work and thesis of first class students in the field of arts and culture. The Prize has ran since 2003 and over a dozen students have benefited from some monetary grants.
